Base Salary
$170k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Make real improvements to enterprise-grade retail software at scale.
- Set technical direction and align teams on architectural decisions.
- Work with stakeholders to scope and stress-test customer-facing features.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and improve products.
- Collaborate across the organization on unified solutions for cross-team problems.
- Mentor other engineers to help them grow their skills.
- Assist in planning, estimating, and de-risking significant projects.
- Establish high standards for engineering judgment and code quality.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proven track record of building and running production systems at scale.
- Hands-on experience with modern backend stacks such as .NET/C#, TypeScript, Ruby, and React.
- Experience designing scalable data models for relational and non-relational databases.
- Familiarity with using AI tools and LLMs in engineering workflows.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
