Responsibilities
- Develop automated deployment solutions for software and services running on AWS production infrastructure.
- Design and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines for developing and deploying enterprise software.
- Build and support cloud infrastructure and security technologies focused on resiliency, observability, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production.
- Develop management solutions for services across multiple cloud platforms and data centers.
- Mentor team members on technical decisions, code reviews, cloud engineering practices, and standards.
- Collaborate on application migrations to AWS with peers, system architects, engineers, and product management.
- Plan work, identify improvement opportunities, and evaluate and select technologies.
Requirements
- 4-5+ years of experience with scalable, distributed systems architecture.
- At least 2 years of experience with cloud platforms, including AWS.
- At least 2 years of experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CDK.
- At least 2 years of scripting experience using Python, Shell, or a similar language.
- At least 2 years of experience with containerization technologies, including Docker.
- At least 1 year of experience with orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes.
- Experience managing PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB, and MongoDB databases.
- Experience implementing automated service deployments covering networking, security, reliability, management, reporting, and configuration management.
- In-depth understanding of deployment automation best practices, networking, and the HTTP protocol.
- Experience using Git in a team environment and building or managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience resolving customer deployment issues and working with distributed teams.
- CS degree or equivalent experience.
