Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade AI agents and scalable ELT/ETL data pipelines for large data volumes.
- Build and deploy generative AI agents using Google ADK, Google Flash models, and human-in-the-loop architecture.
- Develop data federation layers supporting Lambda and Data Mesh architectures, including Starburst-based solutions.
- Develop, deploy, and automate microservice integrations for data-intensive applications.
- Deploy scalable and resilient applications using cloud-native infrastructure, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
- Integrate agentic AI tools and platforms through advanced prompt engineering to improve development and operational efficiency.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
- Improve data engineering processes, standards, and best practices while supporting risk management, compliance, and control activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of overall experience in large-scale application development is required.
- 5+ years of experience in a Python and PySpark engineering lead role focused on enterprise-grade, high-volume ELT/ETL processes using PySpark and Databricks.
- Hands-on experience developing agentic AI solutions with YAML, JSON, FastAPI or Spring Boot, Google ADK, LLM integrations, Devin.AI or GitHub Copilot, MCP, and advanced prompt engineering.
- Proven experience developing and automating microservice integrations for data-intensive applications.
- Proficiency in Python or Scala and strong SQL skills with experience using relational databases.
- Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, Data Mesh architecture, and data federation.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience includes Cloudera, Databricks, AWS, Azure, GCP, Angular, React.js, Docker, Kubernetes, AI/ML applications, retail banking products, and relevant cloud or data-engineering certifications.
