Responsibilities
- Enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot multiple SAS 9 foundation products and services.
- Design and develop middle-tier services and REST APIs in the Java ecosystem.
- Resolve customer and technical-support issues involving functionality, security, and performance.
- Participate in daily operations to meet schedules and resolve complex technical problems.
- Follow security policies and processes supporting secure software development.
- Mentor junior team members and help resolve technical challenges.
- Perform unit, regression, and integration testing and work with large legacy codebases.
Requirements
- 6–14 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent programming skills with Java, Spring, and Hibernate.
- Experience with database-centric applications and SQL using Postgres and Oracle.
- Knowledge of OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles, and build tools such as Ant and Maven.
- Knowledge of security concepts and tools such as Snyk and Black Duck.
- Knowledge of enterprise security applications including IBM Virtual Identity Access/WebSeal, SiteMinder, and Integrated Windows Authentication.
- Familiarity with FIPS, TLS, certificates, and private-key infrastructure.
- Experience with unit, regression, and integration testing.
- Experience with Apache HTTP Server and Tomcat and familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Understanding of JSP and JavaScript is an added advantage.
- Understanding of Groovy is an added advantage.
- Strong debugging, logical problem-solving, learning, and communication capabilities.
- Experience developing mid-tier services and REST APIs in the Java ecosystem.
- Ability to use AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
