Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes/EKS, and AWS runtime foundations.
  • Design and maintain deployment workflows using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, container registries, promotion strategies, and automated validation gates.
  • Improve observability, logging, metrics, alerting, runbooks, incident response, recoverability, and service reliability.
  • Design and build AI agents, intelligent automation tools, and MCP integrations for platform users.
  • Develop reusable APIs, service integrations, self-service workflows, automation, documentation, and technical design proposals.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams on Airflow, Glue/Spark, Kafka/MSK, and lakehouse-oriented platform capabilities.
  • Rotate into feature or platform squads and work across research scientists, data engineers, platform teams, and technical leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field.
  • 6–10 years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering with ownership of production systems.
  • Strong hands-on Python proficiency for automation, APIs, AI tooling, scripting, operational workflows, and platform integrations.
  • Hands-on experience building, operating, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, validation gates, and deployment promotion workflows.
  • Working knowledge of AWS, infrastructure-as-code, containerized workloads, and Kubernetes/EKS environments.
  • Experience with observability, logging, metrics, alerting, runbooks, incident response, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvement.
  • Practical curiosity or hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, MCP, tool integrations, or AI-assisted automation.
  • Experience writing unit tests, integration tests, and automated test suites.
  • Ability to independently identify problems and deliver maintainable solutions with minimal guidance.
  • Strong communication and customer fluency across research, data engineering, platform, and technical leadership stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience with Airflow, DBT, Spark, Glue, Iceberg, Great Expectations, Kafka, MSK, Trino, or Java.
  • AWS certifications such as Cloud Practitioner or AI Practitioner are preferred.
