Responsibilities
- Design and build AI harnesses and scaffolding systems for AI coding tools across engineering workflows.
- Architect context engineering infrastructure including prompt systems, context retrieval patterns, knowledge packaging, and evaluation frameworks.
- Build workflow automation integrating AI assistance into CI/CD pipelines, code review, testing, and developer feedback loops.
- Develop reusable developer tooling, templates, and frameworks for adoption across the engineering organization.
- Partner with engineers to identify workflow friction and build tooling that addresses it.
- Guide technical strategy, establish technical direction, and solve complex cross-team engineering problems.
- Stay current on AI developer tooling and provide recommendations aligned with the re-platforming roadmap.
- Participate in an on-call rotation when required, including possible nights and weekends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience building developer tooling, automation systems, or AI-assisted workflow infrastructure in a production engineering environment.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with context engineering, prompt architecture, retrieval-augmented generation patterns, and evaluation harnesses for LLM-powered tooling.
- Preferred: practical experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent AI coding tools, including extending or customizing them for team-scale deployment.
- Preferred: strong engineering fundamentals and experience with developer tooling and CI/CD pipeline integrations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate engineer workflow needs into durable tooling.
