Responsibilities
- Work with Design and Product to enhance application experiences for customers and merchants.
- Review feature requirements to propose implementation options and define user stories.
- Collaborate across domains to understand impacts and limitations of proposed requirements.
- Engage in agile processes including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Oversee feature delivery by developing implementation plans and coordinating tasks.
- Evaluate priority, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs across the stack.
- Research and implement emerging technologies to improve system performance.
- Drive front-end strategy focusing on maintainability and extendibility.
- Act as a technical mentor for engineers on UI development best practices.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards.
Requirements
- Four-year college degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Information Systems required.
- 6+ years of experience with modern web technologies, preferably React.
- Experience in UX, including accessibility and responsive design.
- Knowledge of front-end tooling and best practices for performance optimizations.
- Experience writing end-to-end test suites using tools like Cypress or Playwright.
- Knowledge of building and consuming REST APIs using languages like Golang or Java.
- Understanding of HTTP/REST architecture for APIs.
- Knowledge of architecting applications in AWS.
- Familiarity with scrum/agile software development processes.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly self-motivated with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills with strong emotional intelligence.
- Location requirement: must be within commuting distance to Richmond, VA or Arlington, VA.
