Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Define and evolve architectures for cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven platforms.
- Create high-level and low-level designs, integration patterns, API contracts, and reference implementations.
- Lead architecture and design reviews and guide squads through the full software development lifecycle.
- Build core backend services with Java, Spring Boot, REST/GraphQL, and event-streaming technologies.
- Mentor senior engineers and support technical leadership development and succession planning.
- Optimize systems for performance, concurrency, observability, resilience, security, and operational excellence.
- Establish coding standards, code review practices, secure-by-default patterns, testing strategies, and automated quality gates.
- Design cloud, container, platform, infrastructure-as-code, secrets-management, data, and integration solutions.
- Partner with SRE, platform, security, product, and other stakeholders on monitoring, compliance, technical roadmaps, and architecture decisions.
- Apply application security, API authentication, zero-trust, data-contract, schema-evolution, and distributed-systems patterns.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of progressive experience building enterprise systems, including at least 5 years with Java and Spring at scale.
- Proven experience delivering cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong expertise with Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, REST/GraphQL APIs, Kafka or Pulsar, Kubernetes, Docker, relational and NoSQL databases, Redis, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability tools.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle; MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB; GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins; and Terraform or ARM.
- Knowledge of concurrency, performance tuning, resilience patterns, fault tolerance, architecture forums, design reviews, and technical mentorship.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Nice-to-have experience in payments, banking, capital markets, insurance, e-commerce, supply chain, or telecom.
- Nice-to-have knowledge of threat modeling, SAST/DAST, secrets rotation, mTLS, Debezium, schema registries, streaming ETL, Istio or Linkerd, Kong or Apigee, Lambda or Functions, CQRS, event sourcing, Saga orchestration, and hexagonal architecture.
- Knowledge of MCP, A2A, and agentic architecture is required.
Benefits
- Full-time position with a stated base salary range of $94,300.00 to $141,500.00.
