Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, resilient microservices for JioStar’s live streaming infrastructure.
- Lead backend projects from technical design through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code focused on fault tolerance and system reliability.
- Drive architectural decisions and contribute to the long-term engineering roadmap.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Operations, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Support operational excellence through performance tuning, incident management, and root cause analysis.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews and technical deep dives, and promote knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Java or Golang.
- Seven years of backend development experience focused on production-grade systems.
- Experience designing and building distributed systems at scale.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and messaging systems such as Kafka.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of REST API concepts and relational SQL versus document NoSQL data models.
- Familiarity with common Go routine and channel patterns.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and deliver high-impact results.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Interest in advertising technologies and optimizing systems for user and business outcomes.
