Software Engineering Intern
GE VernovaResponsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, test, and document one or more industrial software products.
- Contribute to product development teams building desktop, web, microservices, and mobile applications.
- Work collaboratively in small feature-development teams to meet business requirements and quality, security, performance, and scalability goals.
- Learn and apply software development tools, frameworks, and industry-standard technologies.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and experiment with new software frameworks.
Requirements
- Strong interest in pursuing a technology career and demonstrated passion or aptitude for software engineering.
- Strong analytical and technical skills with experience using software industry standards, programming languages, and development tools.
- Creative problem-solving ability, proactive learning, initiative, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Prior internship, co-op, or research experience in software, electrical engineering, power systems, or a relevant area is desired.
- Leadership experience inside or outside the classroom is desired.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree program at an accredited university, with a qualifying STEM focus.
- Graduation between December 2024 and August 2027 and availability for a 12-month internship beginning June or July 2025.
- Legal right to work in the UK is required.
