Responsibilities

  • Design scalable, secure, and maintainable data architectures, pipelines, and technical solutions aligned with enterprise standards and business requirements.
  • Operationalize AI/ML solutions and implement best practices for data quality, governance, metadata, lineage, and platform reliability.
  • Shape Nomura’s information and analytics agenda and collaborate with business divisions on adoption roadmaps.
  • Build physical data models and ETL processes that support data quality, integrity, and accessibility.
  • Build and maintain scalable and fault-tolerant microservices, including efficient server-side APIs.
  • Work effectively with virtual, cross-cultural, and cross-border teams while managing shifting priorities and ambiguity.
  • Apply risk and controls frameworks and operate with a control mindset.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant data experience in data engineering, MLOps, or full-stack engineering within the financial sector.
  • Experience with data quality, metadata management, data lineage, master data management, and data governance.
  • Hands-on deployment experience with Jenkins, Ansible, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Programming experience with Python, Java, and Unix scripting.
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Autosys.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as EC2, EMR, and Snowflake, plus hybrid data architecture and data model design.
  • Proficiency in React and hands-on UI development is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to constructively challenge requirements and derive practical actions from complex situations.
