
Lead Software Engineering - Automation

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, high-quality production software solutions across infrastructure and business functions.
- Review and debug code written by other engineers and address complex technical problems.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring issue remediation and improve application and system operational stability.
- Lead evaluations with external vendors, startups, and internal teams concerning architecture, technical capabilities, and integration applicability.
- Lead Software Engineering communities of practice to promote adoption of emerging technologies.
- Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices, including code review, refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, and incident/root-cause analysis.
- Establish measurable validation standards for secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and responsible AI-assisted engineering.
- Promote reuse of proven automation patterns across the SDLC/TLM toolchain.
Requirements
- At least four years of strong hands-on infrastructure development experience.
- Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Proficiency in automation and continuous-delivery methods and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of application resiliency, security, and continuous-delivery practices.
- Experience in a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technology.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial-services industry and its IT systems.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- Experience leading effective enterprise use of authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security controls.
- Experience coaching senior engineers or leads on compliant AI-assisted engineering usage patterns and controls.
