Base Salary
$159k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conduct application security reviews and penetration tests independently or as part of a team.
- Create engagement plans and document security findings, gaps, and remediation recommendations.
- Contribute to security tooling, innovation, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with partner teams, service owners, Information Security, and senior leadership to prioritize and resolve security findings.
- Provide technical leadership, advice, and thought leadership across Amazon.
Requirements
- 3+ years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .NET, C++, or a similar object-oriented language.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience with scripting, programming, and security code review in a common programming language.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience troubleshooting system issues, analyzing logs, or automating basic tasks with command-line tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or 2+ years of IT Security experience.
- Knowledge of HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, industry security vulnerabilities, and remediation techniques.
- Preferred: 2+ years of combined experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security.
- Preferred: experience with AWS products and services and security activities across software development lifecycle phases such as security design review, threat modeling, secure code review, and security testing.
