Responsibilities
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical specifications, solution designs, and architectural designs.
- Own the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and proactive maintenance.
- Lead code reviews and uphold design patterns, security practices, architectural alignment, and long-term maintainability.
- Integrate and govern AI coding assistants, including standards for reviewing AI-generated code for security, accuracy, and quality.
- Identify technical debt and architectural bottlenecks and lead refactoring and performance or scalability improvements.
- Use prompt engineering and AI tools to automate documentation, legacy-code refactoring, and test-suite creation.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and AI tools and create roadmaps for strategic adoption.
- Act as the technical bridge between Product, Design, and Engineering and influence product roadmaps through technical guidance.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns and promote technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and best practices.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience and a record of leading complex, large-scale web application projects from inception to production.
- Deep hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot/Batch, and cloud-native architectures on GCP, including BigQuery, DataProc, and Composer.
- Strong proficiency with relational databases such as MariaDB/MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, including selecting appropriate storage strategies.
- Experience designing or implementing agentic AI workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, n8n, dify, or custom orchestration.
- Expertise designing and deploying production-grade LLM applications, including model selection, optimized RAG pipelines, agentic orchestration, tool integration, and evaluation frameworks.
- Expertise with AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude Code, while maintaining security and quality controls.
- Experience analyzing complex business and governance requirements and designing cloud-based platforms and enterprise applications.
- Proven experience defining microservice boundaries, API designs, and asynchronous communication patterns.
- Strong ownership, communication, analytical, product-thinking, and cross-functional collaboration abilities, including presenting architecture to senior management, product managers, and engineers.
- Preferred experience with Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Tez, Presto, ClickHouse, React.js, Angular, Redis, Couchbase, Cassandra, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Jenkins, JUnit, SonarQube, MicroStrategy, and Tableau.
- AdTech or high-traffic advertising-system experience and experience evaluating or governing AI-tool adoption across engineering teams are preferred.
