Responsibilities
- Own AI and Machine Learning initiatives across Verathon.
- Execute the full AI/ML lifecycle, including problem definition, data preparation, feature engineering, model selection, training, validation, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
- Design and implement production-grade AI and ML systems supporting batch and real-time inference.
- Build and maintain AI-powered applications, dashboards, and decision-support tools.
- Lead generative AI, LLM, predictive analytics, prescriptive analytics, and intelligent business automation initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend AI platforms and tools based on security, scalability, compliance, and business value.
- Architect AI solutions using the unified data platform, including data and feature requirements, semantic layers, model serving, and system integration patterns.
- Translate AI initiatives into technical and data requirements for the Data Engineering team.
- Establish AI development practices for model lifecycle management, monitoring, responsible AI, and governance.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver business-impacting AI use cases.
- Ensure AI systems comply with SDLC, Computer Systems Validation, security, and data governance policies.
- Create technical documentation, solution designs, and training materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience, or master’s degree with 4+ years of experience, in AI/ML, data engineering, analytics, computer science, or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience delivering end-to-end AI/ML solutions in production environments.
- Experience performing both Data Scientist and ML Engineer responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, including data lakes, lakehouse patterns, and layered data modeling.
- Experience with cloud-based data and AI platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI and LLM-based solutions, including enterprise AI tool evaluation and implementation.
- Strong software engineering approach to ML systems, including testing, monitoring, scalability, and maintainability.
- Working knowledge of SQL and data analytics concepts.
- Experience building AI-enabled applications, dashboards, or analytical tools for business users.
- Ability to independently design and deliver solutions while collaborating across teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, research, communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies and SDLC best practices.
- Ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical audiences and work independently and cross-functionally.
