Responsibilities
- Join the Data Stores team to ensure reliability and scalability of core datastores.
- Collaborate with product, application, and platform teams to support new use cases.
- Design and implement automation and Infrastructure as Code for datastore management.
- Lead root-cause analysis and implement fixes for systemic datastore issues.
- Establish best practices for consistent and scalable datastore adoption.
- Mentor engineers on safe and sustainable feature introduction.
- Debug and fix production behavior in the main Webflow application.
- Participate in on-call and incident response processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL, including performance tuning.
- Experience supporting multiple teams with shared datastore infrastructure.
- Familiarity with multi-tier cloud environments on AWS or GCP.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
- Enthusiasm for mentoring less-experienced engineers.
- A proactive approach to embracing AI and emerging technologies.
