Base Salary
$217k - $312k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of high-impact Unity Catalog governance projects.
- Set standards for security, usability, performance, scalability, software quality, and operational excellence.
- Own the Unity Catalog Governance product from concept through robust, scalable implementation.
- Drive the roadmap and execution of features that govern access to Lakehouse assets at scale.
- Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to align technical strategy and execution.
- Mentor senior engineers and improve development and operational practices across the organization.
- Champion reliable, easy-to-operate software and processes that deliver a seamless customer experience.
Requirements
- 15+ years of industry experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Proven track record of driving customer-focused initiatives with incremental delivery.
- Deep computer science expertise in algorithms and data structures, with real-world application.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field; a master’s or PhD is preferred.
- Preferred experience in data governance, security, privacy, identity management, authentication, or access control.
