Base Salary

$178k - $313k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, pilot, and implement logging and alerting systems across endpoints, infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments.
  • Build tools and automation strategies to improve threat hunting and intrusion response.
  • Investigate alerting-pipeline events and triage potential security incidents.
  • Design and ship scalable services using AI-assisted engineering workflows while maintaining code quality, security, and production readiness.
  • Collaborate with multiple Snap teams during incidents and drive response efforts.
  • Identify, analyze, and fingerprint adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures and develop threat intelligence on APT and cybercrime actors.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in one or more of digital forensics, malware analysis, incident management, host or network intrusion detection, and threat intelligence.
  • Strong development skills in Python and/or Go.
  • Advanced knowledge of operating-system internals.
  • Core competency in at least two of macOS, Windows, Linux, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent years of experience in a related technical field, or an advanced technical degree with the stated security experience.
  • At least 6 years of post-bachelor’s security experience, 5+ years of post-graduate experience with a master’s degree, or 2+ years of post-graduate experience with a PhD.
  • Knowledge of threat hunting and automated threat-detection and incident-response logic is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure, including Google Cloud, Workspace, and AWS, is preferred.
  • Practical experience with a BeyondCorp model is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience collaborating with stakeholders are preferred.
