Responsibilities
- Enhance, govern, secure, and support the enterprise GitHub developer platform.
- Design GitHub Actions workflows, self-hosted runner environments, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release processes.
- Develop scalable platform tooling, integrations, and operational workflows using PowerShell, Python, Groovy, and Bash.
- Integrate development platforms, security tools, cloud services, and enterprise systems through APIs, webhooks, and automation frameworks.
- Implement DevSecOps capabilities including security scanning, secrets management, policy enforcement, software supply chain security, vulnerability management, and compliance automation.
- Establish engineering standards and improve developer productivity, software delivery speed, platform adoption, reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
- Partner with engineering teams and stakeholders across business units to influence technical decisions and promote engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, platform engineering, software engineering, or related technology roles.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise, including repository management, governance, security controls, branch protection, organization administration, and enterprise adoption.
- Deep expertise in GitHub Actions and CI/CD automation, including reusable workflows, self-hosted runners, deployment pipelines, release automation, and continuous integration.
- Strong proficiency in PowerShell, Python, Groovy, and/or Bash scripting.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, webhooks, automation frameworks, platform integrations, cloud services, and enterprise systems.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps, security scanning, secrets management, policy enforcement, software supply chain security, vulnerability management, and compliance automation.
- Strong understanding of Git, advanced Git workflows, software development lifecycle practices, CI/CD architecture, cloud-native deployment patterns, infrastructure as code, platform reliability, observability, and Agile and DevOps delivery practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Azure, AWS, GCP, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Preferred: experience supporting enterprise-scale DevOps platforms in regulated or financial-services environments and knowledge of enterprise architecture, governance, security, and risk management.
