Responsibilities
- Build and improve reliable enterprise-grade software and services for the Observe observability platform.
- Contribute to data ingestion, data processing, metrics product features, enterprise features, warehouse scheduling, query execution, and related systems.
- Implement and test features involving metrics processing, distributed systems, and large-scale data processing.
- Work with infrastructure supporting development and production environments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and contribute meaningfully to software used by customers.
Requirements
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university program during the internship.
- Completed BS degree, with an MS or PhD in progress.
- Coursework in algorithms, data structures, and operating systems.
- Strong programming skills in C++ or Golang.
- Systems programming experience or knowledge, including multithreading and concurrency.
- Experience with big data engineering or processing and data migration.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to learn quickly, teamwork experience, and fluent written and spoken English.
- Preferred coursework includes database systems, distributed systems, cloud computing, and compilers.
- Preferred qualifications include research or publications in databases or distributed systems and open-source contributions.
