Responsibilities
- Implement and deploy core real-time image-processing software for infrared imaging systems.
- Configure Linux-based operating systems and develop terminal-based software.
- Learn and implement Nix and NixOS for embedded systems.
- Develop real-time, high-bandwidth processing pipelines in C++ and/or CUDA.
- Define and implement software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop test and simulation environments.
- Support system delivery from initial design through manufacturing, deployment, and sustainment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on complex technical problems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional C++ software development experience, including tools such as Git, Jira, and CI/CD systems.
- Experience developing low-latency, high-throughput software on Linux-based systems with knowledge of system utilities and basic configuration.
- Familiarity with graphics programming or image processing.
- Experience testing and debugging firmware on hardware platforms.
- Experience with software infrastructure fundamentals including networking, security, and distributed systems.
- Ability to learn and implement new technologies and frameworks quickly.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and produce detailed technical documentation.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance.
- Preferred: Linux operating-system configuration and Linux kernel development experience.
- Preferred: experience with programming languages such as C, Rust, and Python.
- Preferred: connectivity and high-performance networking software development experience.
- Preferred: Nix/NixOS experience and an active Secret U.S. security clearance.
