Base Salary
$219k - $301k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set direction for one or more engine systems based on emerging technology and product needs.
- Own and implement the most complex portions of the system.
- Lead and grow engineers on the team.
- Profile and optimize real-time systems within demanding content, resource, and thermal budgets.
- Maintain a high quality bar for engine usability and developer experience.
- Collaborate deeply with partner teams to achieve successful product outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of industry software development experience, or a PhD with at least 4 years of experience.
- Experience with C++ and/or C.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, collaborators, and clients at different levels.
- Preferred: experience leading real-time engine components such as simulation, performance, networking, audio, or assets for a AAA engine.
- Preferred: experience with Unreal, Frostbite, Unity 3D, or another proprietary AAA engine.
- Preferred: experience with multiple hardware platforms, real-time application performance optimization, SDKs, shared technology, 3D math, linear algebra, and physics.
- Preferred: experience with responsible AI practices, AI workflow integration, prompt/context engineering, and agent orchestration.
Benefits
- Annual base salary of $219,000/year to $301,000/year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
