Responsibilities
- Develop machine learning and data analytics solutions that improve aircraft and fleet efficiency, performance, and engineering productivity.
- Apply statistical, probabilistic, predictive analytics, machine learning, multivariate analysis, and deep learning techniques across aerospace, manufacturing, automation, and supply chain use cases.
- Build, deploy, monitor, optimize, and productize AI/ML, GenAI, LLM, information retrieval, and agentic solutions.
- Develop and maintain robust MLOps pipelines and ensure timely deployment of models into production.
- Conduct research and development, proof-of-concepts, and adoption of new tools and technologies.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists and support teams applying data science and data modeling techniques.
- Collaborate with international software development and research engineering teams, customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.
- Document research and development results through progress reports, project summaries, and related materials, while tracking performance against project requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
- At least 8 years of experience in AI software development, data analytics, and building or deploying GenAI/LLM-powered solutions is required.
- Hands-on experience with the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle, including data pipelines, training, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
- Strong research and development background in data science, analytics, and innovative AI-driven solutions.
- Expertise in building and productizing machine learning and deep learning models, with a strong understanding of machine learning and GenAI concepts.
- Experience designing scalable AI/ML solutions involving LLMs, agentic systems, information retrieval, and advanced machine learning paradigms.
- Proficiency in Python or RStudio and the ability to produce clean, efficient, production-ready code.
- Experience with MLOps, containerization, model deployment, data management, monitoring, synthetic data generation, domain adaptation, and self-supervised learning.
- Experience with software engineering practices including unit and integration testing, version control, and traceability to requirements.
- Experience with advanced visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Strong written, oral, presentation, interpersonal, collaboration, and independent-working skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or a directly related equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours to interface with Boeing personnel worldwide.
