Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate foundational embedded platform software for controls boards from initial hardware bring-up through customer shipment.
- Design, develop, and deploy software for power management, vehicle reset, occupancy detection, diagnostics, and over-the-air updates.
- Collaborate with hardware teams on system design, schematics, and hardware validation.
- Work with Charging, Body Controls, Infotainment, Vehicle Dynamics, and other teams to meet application requirements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of embedded software or firmware development experience, preferably with vertically integrated consumer products.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Expert C programming skills and deep familiarity with real-time operating systems.
- Expertise in embedded software development and optimization, including multi-threaded and multi-core programming.
- Proficiency developing software for microcontrollers and performing hardware bring-up.
- Experience developing software for systems with live sensor inputs.
- Hands-on debugging experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, and other embedded diagnostics tooling.
- Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, UDS, and DOIP is a plus.
- Experience with battery monitoring firmware and/or power electronics is a plus.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced development environment and take ideas from R&D to production.
