Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell under senior engineer guidance.
  • Maintain and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including jobs, builds, runners, and troubleshooting.
  • Support repository maintenance, branching strategies, merge requests, reviews, and conflict resolution.
  • Provision and configure Linux and Windows environments and assist with VMware and Suse Harvester virtualization tasks.
  • Automate routine administration using Bash and PowerShell and create scripts, runbooks, and technical documentation.
  • Monitor environments, respond to alerts, perform maintenance and patching, and participate in deployments and releases.
  • Research and trial tools through proof-of-concept tasks and collaborate with engineering, IT, project stakeholders, and teammates.

Requirements

  • Degree in Software Engineering, IT, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, systems administration, or related internships and projects.
  • Understanding of version control, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, and observability practices.
  • Familiarity with Git and GitLab, including branches, merge requests, and reviews.
  • Hands-on exposure to Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell, with willingness to learn the others.
  • Comfort with the Linux command line and Windows Server basics; Active Directory and DNS knowledge is advantageous.
  • Scripting ability in Bash and/or PowerShell and fundamental TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP networking knowledge.
  • Experience with VMware or another virtualization platform; Suse Harvester exposure is advantageous.
  • Container fundamentals and introductory Kubernetes knowledge are preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills and a collaborative, growth-oriented attitude.
  • Relevant Linux, cloud, or Kubernetes certifications are welcome but not required.
