Sr. Lead Software Engineer: Payments SAFE VP
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop, review, and debug secure, high-quality production code.
- Drive decisions affecting product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and advocate for approved engineering frameworks, tools, and software development practices.
- Lead adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices, including code review, refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, and incident analysis.
- Establish validation standards for secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and AI-generated outputs.
- Promote reusable engineering patterns and automation across the software development toolchain.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with depth in at least one technical discipline.
- Ability to solve design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- Experience using and leading the effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience coaching senior engineers or leads on compliant AI usage patterns and controls.
