Responsibilities
- Develop real-world projects for Virtu’s trading systems.
- Design and implement real-time trading, visualization, analysis, and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with traders and developers to gather requirements and understand user needs.
- Improve the scalability, performance, and efficiency of trading systems.
- Support systems that process large volumes of data.
- Participate in ongoing training, a company-curated training week, and mentorship from senior team members.
Requirements
- Be a rising junior or a student expected to be ready for full-time employment between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Have an excellent academic background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrate strong programming skills in JavaScript, React, and Node.
- Experience with TypeScript, Java, C++, and Python is preferred.
- Be comfortable working across frontend and backend projects and different programming languages.
- Show initiative, independence, tenacity, problem-solving ability, and effective teamwork.
- Complete an online programming test through HackerRank as part of the hiring process.
