Software Engineering PMTS - Backend Distributed Systems - Cloud Infrastructure
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Provide architectural direction and technical leadership for infrastructure security and security guardrails across teams.
- Design and build shift-left security controls for source code, Infrastructure as Code, containers, deployment configurations, and runtime environments.
- Develop policy-as-code, security enforcement, Kubernetes admission control, and workload security capabilities.
- Design systems for security finding correlation, prioritization, deduplication, risk assessment, and enforcement.
- Define reliability, scalability, observability, fault tolerance, rollout, and operational-readiness strategies for security services.
- Own requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, production readiness, rollout, and ongoing operations.
- Build production-grade software and evaluate human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
- Mentor senior engineers, establish engineering standards, influence technical strategy, and drive multi-team initiatives through production.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field involving software or systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or security engineering experience designing and delivering large-scale production systems.
- Strong programming experience in Go, Java, or Python, including designing, implementing, debugging, and reviewing production-quality systems.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and cloud security with experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD architecture, DevSecOps, deployment pipelines, security gates, policy enforcement, and automation.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform, Helm, or CloudFormation and with distributed, scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
- Strong understanding of vulnerability management, configuration security, policy enforcement, workload security, identity and access controls, and risk assessment.
- Preferred experience includes cloud-native, infrastructure, or application security; enterprise-scale security platforms; Kubernetes Admission Controllers; OPA/Gatekeeper; Kyverno; policy-as-code; Checkov; container and workload security; and automated security remediation.
- Preferred experience includes correlating security signals, prioritizing findings by risk and exploitability, designing developer-facing security products, driving technical strategy across organizations, and mentoring senior engineers.
- Demonstrated AI-first engineering practices, experience with AI development tools, advanced prompt engineering, and ability to maintain reliable system context for AI outputs.
