
Software Developer (AI & Agentic Engineering)
State StreetResponsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of the enterprise Agentic Engineering workflow.
- Build backend services and RESTful APIs and coordinate integration with React/Photon frontend teams.
- Integrate LLM capabilities for data extraction, natural-language process configuration, AI-driven review, and intelligent automation.
- Design autonomous AI agents and domain-specific skills that integrate with enterprise systems and orchestrate multi-step workflows.
- Implement RBAC, department-level data isolation, SailPoint role-request integration, and AWS Secrets Manager credential management.
- Build and operate AWS infrastructure using ECS/EKS, S3, RDS/PostgreSQL, Redis, and SQS with high availability, scaling, and observability.
- Define engineering standards for code quality, CI/CD, documentation, testing, risk management, and compliance.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in information technology and the asset-management industry.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience designing workflow or orchestration engines, process-automation platforms, or rule-driven execution systems.
- Strong backend-system design, RESTful API, microservices, relational database, data-modeling, and SQL skills.
- Hands-on AWS experience, including ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch.
- Production experience integrating AI/LLM technologies such as OpenAI or LangChain for intelligent automation or data extraction.
- Understanding of enterprise security, RBAC, audit logging, and financial-services compliance requirements.
- Experience as the primary developer on a complex platform initiative from architecture through production delivery.
- Proficiency with Docker, CI/CD tools, and DevOps practices.
- AWS certification is preferred, with AWS Developer or Solutions Architect certification a plus.
- Finance, economics, or financial-engineering background and broader financial-services experience are preferred.
- Strong English communication, problem-solving, initiative, teamwork, and ability to work in a global distributed environment are required.
