Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable full-stack applications for manufacturing operations and business-critical workflows.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into production software solutions and contribute to application, integration, and platform architecture.
  • Build and maintain user interfaces, APIs, integrations, database solutions, and distributed systems.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, support deployments and releases, and participate in critical incident and after-hours support when needed.
  • Provide technical leadership through design discussions, code reviews, engineering standards, and best practices.
  • Mentor engineers and collaborate with manufacturing, software, product, business, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Improve application performance, reliability, maintainability, security, observability, and user experience.

Requirements

  • L7 candidates require 5+ years of experience developing and supporting production software applications; L6 candidates require 2+ years of software development and support experience.
  • Hands-on experience with full-stack application development using Python and React or comparable modern frameworks.
  • Experience with REST APIs, integrations, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, data modeling, query development, and performance optimization.
  • Experience deploying, monitoring, testing, and supporting applications in development, test, or enterprise production environments.
  • Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar software development lifecycle tools.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, or engineering effectiveness.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across multiple application layers, plus the ability to work with changing priorities and incomplete requirements.
  • L7 candidates should have experience mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include cloud-native development with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform; Docker and Kubernetes; software architecture and system design; intuitive user experience design; manufacturing or enterprise platform experience; monitoring and observability; and integrating multiple enterprise systems.
