Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications supporting manufacturing operations and business-critical workflows.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions from concept through production support.
- Build and maintain user interfaces, APIs, integrations, relational database solutions, and distributed systems.
- Lead or participate in technical design, architecture, code reviews, and engineering best-practice discussions.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, support deployments and releases, and participate in critical incident response including after-hours support when needed.
- Improve application performance, reliability, maintainability, security, user experience, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with manufacturing operations, product owners, software engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance at the L7 level.
Requirements
- L6 candidates require 2+ years of experience developing and supporting software applications; L7 candidates require 5+ years.
- Experience developing full-stack applications with Python and React or similar modern frameworks.
- Experience designing and supporting REST APIs, integrations, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and distributed systems.
- Experience deploying, monitoring, testing, and supporting applications in development or enterprise production environments.
- Experience using GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar software development lifecycle tools.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and engineering effectiveness.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication abilities across technical and non-technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring and observability, software architecture, object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, system design, and manufacturing or enterprise software platforms.
