Responsibilities
- Maintain software components and third-party dependencies, including upgrades, patches, and security fixes.
- Troubleshoot system and service integrations and respond to requests from engineering teams.
- Evolve successful team-specific tooling into shared, reusable tools.
- Investigate and resolve issues while validating that updates do not break existing functionality.
- Maintain and improve build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- Run containerized services on cloud infrastructure and maintain their reliability.
- Package, version, and document internal tooling for adoption by other engineers.
- Monitor system health and escalate recurring issues requiring broader attention.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field.
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
- Working knowledge of Docker or containerization and cloud deployment.
- Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines, such as with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with using and maintaining open-source software.
- Ability to diagnose issues, apply updates, and support integrations across an existing codebase.
- Responsive, service-oriented approach focused on system reliability.
- Preferred qualifications include C++ experience, Azure deployment experience, open-source contributions, internal package publishing, and interest in developer tooling and platform reliability.
