Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, document, and implement reliability strategies, automation, processes, and solutions for Netskope’s production services.
- Improve service availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, observability, emergency response, and capacity planning.
- Partner with development teams and product managers to architect highly available, performant, and secure features.
- Measure, monitor, and report on service and infrastructure health.
- Drive capacity planning, configuration management, performance tuning, monitoring, and root cause analysis.
- Understand and communicate system and service requirements including security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for designated Netskope products, services, and dependent infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable education and experience.
- At least 3 years of experience designing, building, and managing complex computing systems, including 1–2 years as a Site Reliability Engineer.
- Experience with private or public cloud services in distributed, highly available, large-scale production environments.
- Experience analyzing systems and software to improve availability, performance, scale, and efficiency of microservices.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, software design, and non-functional requirements.
- Ability to debug and optimize code, automate routine tasks, communicate effectively, and provide data-driven technology recommendations.
- Desired experience with TCP/IP, network flow analysis and tuning, operational support systems, automation, infrastructure-as-code tools, and CI/CD tools.
- Desired knowledge of Python, C, C++, Go, Rust, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, KVM, OpenNebula, OpenStack, or other orchestration platforms.
