Responsibilities
- Enhance Kubernetes-based cluster platforms for performance, scalability, and resilience across global infrastructure.
- Design and maintain unified scheduling for containers, VMs, online services, offline computing, AI/ML, and CPU/GPU workloads.
- Develop intelligent scheduling and resource utilization systems across CPU, GPU, memory, network, and power resources.
- Design compute platforms for reliable and cost-effective ML and LLM training and inference.
- Write high-quality maintainable code and contribute to open-source and research advancements in AI, ML, systems, and serverless technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related area, plus 2+ years of relevant industry experience; a Ph.D. with strong publication records may be accepted as an exception.
- Understanding of Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, high-performance networking systems, or large-scale software systems.
- Experience designing and building cloud or ML infrastructure involving resource management, allocation, job scheduling, or monitoring.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, C++, Rust, or Java.
- Preferred experience with large-scale cluster management, resource efficiency management, job scheduling, application scaling, workload co-location, workload isolation, public cloud providers, and cloud ML services.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an interest in system efficiency, quality, performance, and scalability.
