Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business users to define requirements and specifications.
- Document functional and technical designs and gather system design requirements.
- Design and develop effective, testable Java applications and prototypes.
- Build interfaces with legacy, enterprise resource planning, and other enterprise systems.
- Respond to application support incidents, identify root causes, and implement immediate workarounds or long-term code fixes.
- Manipulate JSON and XML messages and database fields as needed to resolve application failures.
- Test fixes, include them in appropriate builds, and maintain and version code bases.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end software solutions in Java-based environments, with leadership exposure across design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Advanced Core Java development expertise, particularly with Eclipse and Agile frameworks.
- Deep understanding of Spring Web MVC, REST, Spring Boot, Hibernate ORM, and SQL/NoSQL database management.
- Practical experience with Git and Jira for version control and issue tracking.
- Strong technical problem-solving, communication, stakeholder collaboration, and client-engagement skills.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related IT discipline, or substantial industry experience in place of the degree.
- Experience with Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Kafka, and Spring Batch is desirable.
