Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and support scalable backend services using Go.
- Build and consume RESTful and gRPC APIs for OTT and digital media capabilities.
- Create and automate AWS cloud environments, deployment pipelines, and configuration.
- Integrate services with AWS compute, storage, database, messaging, streaming, monitoring, and API services.
- Define API contracts, data models, concurrency models, caching strategies, and resiliency patterns.
- Lead feature delivery from design through deployment and production stabilization.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and regression test suites.
- Participate in code reviews, CI/CD, release activities, deployment validation, and rollback procedures.
- Analyze production incidents, perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot distributed applications, and resolve performance issues.
- Provide estimates, technical guidance, risk assessments, and mentoring to developers.
- Collaborate with architects, product teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Participate in on-call and production support activities.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience is stated for the project role; the posting additionally states 9 years of relevant Go and AWS experience and 18 years of total experience under a 9+9 model.
- Minimum 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Strong Go programming and AWS cloud development experience is required.
- Experience with RESTful and gRPC APIs, Go frameworks or routers, microservices, relational and NoSQL databases, and Go testing practices is required.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, AWS Fargate, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Amazon S3, Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS, Amazon EventBridge, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon API Gateway, Amazon CloudWatch, and AWS IAM is required.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Infrastructure as Code, blue-green deployments, canary deployments, distributed troubleshooting, incident management, and technical reviews is required.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are required.
- Experience in OTT, streaming, broadcast, or digital media platforms is preferred.
- Knowledge of HLS, DASH, DRM, Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay, CDNs, SSAI, VOD, AWS Elemental services, and Amazon CloudFront is preferred.
- Experience with Kafka, AWS Step Functions, Terraform, AWS CDK, AWS CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Redis, Amazon ElastiCache, Grafana, Datadog, Elastic Stack, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, and IT service management is preferred.
- AWS Developer Associate or AWS Solutions Architect certification and experience in managed services and SLA-driven environments are preferred.
