Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build Java software powering a high-performance distributed calculation engine.
- Develop platform features optimized for large-scale distributed workloads and high-volume computation.
- Solve distributed-computing problems involving data movement across large numbers of machines.
- Improve CI/CD capabilities to support frequent and reliable SaaS releases.
- Build APIs that allow customers to configure platform behavior for their use cases.
- Create testing mechanisms supporting rapid and dependable daily microservice deployments.
- Mentor and coach engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and career development support.
- Partner with customers to resolve issues and optimize large-scale distributed workloads.
- Help shape the long-term technical direction of the platform.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience with Java.
- Experience building and improving CI/CD pipelines using DevOps practices.
- Practical experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or Quarkus.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems and APIs.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and test automation using JUnit and Mockito.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience operating as a lead engineer is beneficial, though strong individual contributors are encouraged to apply.
- Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra is beneficial.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Cucumber is beneficial.
