Senior Software Engineer
Applied IntuitionResponsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of tools and products from incubation through production.
- Identify and improve ineffective processes and code to increase team effectiveness.
- Integrate software from customers and other teams into company products.
- Write, test, and debug efficient modern C++ software with AI tooling.
- Work with product managers and customers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Train and mentor junior engineers as the UK team grows.
- Collaborate with forward deployment teams in the field and integrate with customer platforms and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing performant modern C++, or strong willingness to learn C++.
- Strong procedural and object-oriented programming experience using clean code principles and sound object-oriented design patterns and principles.
- Experience developing in Docker and containerized development environments.
- Experience using Linux-based operating systems.
- Ability to hold UK Security Clearance; current or previous clearance is preferred.
- Willingness to travel for company business between offices and to customer sites.
- Preferred qualifications include 7+ years of modern C++ and Python software development experience, distributed systems experience, simulation and autonomy experience, Bazel and Nix experience, infrastructure technology experience, and national-security project experience.
