Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and verify Core Displays for the Anthem Next Generation Avionics platform.
- Implement robust, high-performance embedded software for avionics flight display platforms, services, and applications.
- Write high-level code and deliver software modules, features, and functionality.
- Create software test cases based on system and software requirements.
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle from concept through implementation and verification.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with existing avionics systems.
- Contribute to feature definition and stay current with avionics technology and software engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Software, Computer Science, or another technical discipline.
- Approximately 1.5–2+ years of embedded software development experience for Engineer II or 4–5 years for Engineer III.
- Expertise in low-level embedded software development or high-level embedded, user-application, graphics, or display development.
- Programming competence, with preference for C/C++, Python, OpenGL, or Vulkan.
- Experience with avionics products, RTOS development, object-oriented development, software change management, software certification requirements, or DO-178C is valued.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, curiosity, passion for innovation, and commitment to continuous learning.
- Must meet U.S. Person requirements or be able to obtain export authorization.
