Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement high-performance, reliable software for avionics flight display platforms, services, and applications.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from concept through deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design software architectures, implement modules, and integrate software with avionics systems.
- Own software modules, deliver features, and identify improvements and optimizations for existing applications.
- Perform software architecture, coding, feature definition, and evaluation of advancing avionics technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- At least 6 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Expertise in low-level embedded software development using C/C++, higher-level embedded user applications, graphics/displays using technologies such as OpenGL and Vulkan, or a combination of these areas.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, OpenGL, and Vulkan is valued.
- Experience with a real-time operating system is valued.
- Experience developing embedded software for aerospace, avionics, display technologies, or related industries is valued.
- Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices is valued.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
