Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications for aerospace systems.
- Define software requirements and specifications with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and support embedded software using C++.
- Follow software lifecycle processes for projects assigned to DO-178.
- Conduct software testing and debugging to deliver high-quality software.
- Support software integration, architecture, hardware option evaluation, and aerospace certification activities.
- Travel up to 10% as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 6 years of software engineering or software development experience is required.
- Expertise in embedded C/C++ engineering and design in an aerospace or avionics environment is required.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is valued.
- Experience with software integration and testing, TAWS or EGPWS, DO-178 B/C, DO-160, avionics development tools, software architecture, and certification activities is preferred.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, DOORS, CC/CQ, and TeamCenter is valued.
- Candidates must meet U.S. Person/export-control requirements and be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.
