Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and verify software for Anthem Next Generation Avionics Core Display systems.
- Implement high-performance, reliable, and user-friendly software for avionics flight-display platforms, services, and applications.
- Create software test cases based on system and software requirements.
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle from concept through implementation and verification.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams to integrate software with existing avionics systems.
- Define features, take increasing ownership of software modules, and contribute to innovative avionics capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in engineering, software, computer science, or another technical discipline.
- Approximately 1.5–2+ years of embedded software development experience for Engineer II or 4–5 years for Engineer III.
- Expertise in low-level embedded software development or high-level embedded, user-application, graphics, or display software.
- Programming competence in languages and technologies such as C, C++, Python, OpenGL, and Vulkan.
- Preferred qualifications include avionics product experience, RTOS development, object-oriented development, software change management, software certification documentation, and DO-178C experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, curiosity, and interest in continuous learning.
