Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced software applications for avionics and electronic systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and system architecture.
- Ensure software compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to deliver robust and reliable software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software bugs and defects.
- Support engineering teams with design releases and documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Interact with customers and provide project oversight and coordination.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in software engineering, science, technology, mathematics, or another technical discipline.
- 9+ years of experience in advanced software development, preferably in aerospace or related industries.
- Experience with avionics, navigation, airborne surveillance, TCAS, transponders, ADS-B, DME, or UAT is valued.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with DO-178C and experience debugging and testing embedded software.
- Experience with avionics software development and integration.
- Experience with version control systems, software development tools, software testing methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems, embedded software design, and aerospace industry standards.
- Ability to manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in design and testing.
- Proficiency in C++ and C, with understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Candidate must be a U.S. Person or have the ability to obtain an export authorization under U.S. export control laws and regulations.
