Responsibilities
- Design and develop applications for large-scale data processing, visualization, simulation scenario generation, data analysis, and post-processing.
- Maintain and enhance data visualization, analysis, and post-processing systems using the listed programming languages, frameworks, and databases.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations for features, services, development practices, and collaborative software processes.
- Lead and support code reviews, collaborative testing, troubleshooting, and quality processes.
- Mentor junior and early-career developers through code reviews, onboarding, and collaborative coding sessions.
- Support data collection in laboratory settings and flight-test activities and develop systems using AI/ML techniques for aerospace research.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
- At least 10 years of software development experience.
- At least 10 years supporting aeronautics research and development activities.
- In-depth experience with modern languages and frameworks including Java, .NET, Python, C++, JavaScript, Qt/QML, and React.
- Extensive knowledge of JMS, PostgreSQL, Apache, Node.js, and MongoDB.
- At least 5 years of experience creating custom data visualizations.
- Ability to work under time constraints and pressure and communicate effectively within a team.
