Responsibilities
- Design and operate Adobe’s observability infrastructure at scale across logging, tracing, metrics, and OpenTelemetry collector pipelines.
- Analyze pipeline data, build cost-optimization guardrails, and collaborate with engineering teams.
- Build AI-powered tooling to surface insights from high-volume logs and automate platform workflows.
- Own SLOs and SLIs for the observability platform.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead Sev 1/2 incident response.
- Evaluate alternative storage and processing backends for cost or stability migrations.
Requirements
- Require 5–8+ years of professional DevOps or SRE experience owning production systems at scale.
- Require hands-on experience with large-scale logging infrastructure such as Splunk, Loki, ClickHouse, or Elastic.
- Require working knowledge of OpenTelemetry collector configuration, pipelines, and instrumentation.
- Require strong programming skills in Go and/or Python and experience building integrations or applications for observability environments.
- Require experience developing, deploying, and operating distributed applications on cloud platforms.
- Require experience with Docker and Kubernetes and comfort owning on-call across a multi-tool observability stack.
- Prefer experience with Grafana, Cortex, Tempo, and alternative storage or processing backends.
- Prefer experience promoting DevOps and SRE practices.
