Base Salary
$118k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze key software benchmarks and applications to identify performance optimization opportunities.
- Implement software optimizations to meet performance criteria without impacting power consumption.
- Develop and enhance analysis tools and instrumentation to identify performance gaps and optimization options.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on performance analysis and optimization.
- Identify risks associated with designs, approaches, and work efforts.
- Solve complex technical problems affecting significant areas of products.
- Make decisions under incomplete, contradictory, and ambiguous requirements affecting multiple software development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of Software Engineering or related experience; or a master's degree plus 1+ year; or a PhD in a related field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Preferred: master's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Preferred: 4+ years of Software Engineering focused on power/performance or related work.
- Experience with C/C++ and ARM assembly, ARM architecture, CPU, memory, and bus architecture, performance characterization, and software optimization techniques.
- Ability to debug complex problems across hardware, operating systems, compilers, and drivers.
- Preferred experience with Windows OS, Visual Studio, LLVM compiler, Windows Performance Analyzer, compiler and JIT technologies, and CPU software benchmarks.
- Strong written and verbal communication, self-management, leadership, and collaboration skills.
