Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for the Syft product group and drive multi-year product or platform goals.
- Design and deliver software for reporting and insights, including Budgets API and Reporting integration, the Benchmarking rebuild, and Syft-X API resilience improvements.
- Support engineers through coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance.
- Improve development practices across design, delivery, deployment, and support.
- Build smaller, safer changes and strengthen operational visibility.
- Lead incident response and reduce dependency on a small number of people for critical production knowledge and work.
Requirements
- Expertise designing secure, scalable distributed systems and managing software at scale.
- Proficiency with Node.js and AWS.
- Experience coaching and mentoring engineers to grow their technical capabilities.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical ideas and building alignment.
- Ability to lead incident responses, resolve failure patterns, and guide quality testing strategies is highly valued.
- Collaborative approach, continuous learning mindset, and commitment to experimentation and knowledge sharing.
