Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable Playwright test automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
- Create automated test scripts and execute functional, regression, integration, API, cross-browser, and cross-platform tests.
- Develop and maintain REST Assured API automation suites and write complex SQL queries for backend and workflow validation.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
- Analyze test failures, troubleshoot issues, investigate defects, and collaborate with developers on resolution.
- Define, track, analyze, and report Quality Engineering metrics while improving test coverage, efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
- Provide technical leadership in automation strategy, framework architecture, and testing best practices.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, risk assessment, and release readiness activities.
- Evaluate and introduce modern testing tools, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
- 4–10 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and test automation for web and mobile applications.
- At least 2–3 years of hands-on Playwright experience.
- Strong programming experience in at least one of Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience designing and building test automation frameworks from scratch and selecting appropriate tools and frameworks.
- Strong experience with API automation testing using REST Assured.
- Ability to write complex SQL queries and knowledge of Oracle Database or other relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with cross-browser testing using BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of Git/GitHub, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to Generative AI or GenAI testing tools and applications is preferred.
- Healthcare domain knowledge is an added advantage.
