Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and microservice architectures.
- Build scalable and resilient solutions aligned with architecture and quality standards.
- Design and implement APIs and integration components for critical business processes.
- Participate in technology modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
- Apply secure development practices, reactive programming, and event-driven architecture.
- Perform code reviews and promote engineering standards within the team.
- Optimize application performance, queries, and data structures.
- Design testing strategies and ensure adequate unit-test coverage.
- Participate in deployments, support, and resolution of complex incidents.
- Contribute to technical debt reduction and continuous application improvement.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using agile methodologies.
Requirements
- At least six years of experience as a Java Developer or Software Engineer.
- Strong experience with Java 11 and Java 17.
- Experience developing applications with Spring Boot and knowledge of Spring Framework.
- Experience using JDBC and JPA, and knowledge of Reactor-based reactive programming.
- Experience implementing microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Apache Kafka and relational and NoSQL database optimization.
- Knowledge of version control, branching strategies, secure programming, functional programming, UML modeling, and Quarkus.
- Experience developing unit tests, conducting code reviews, refactoring applications, and using Kiuwan or equivalent code-quality analysis tools.
- Desired experience includes NoSQL database design, ACID and BASE concepts, continuous integration and deployment, cloud services, load balancers, monitoring, authentication, penetration testing, automated vulnerability testing, and networking concepts.
- Desired experience with Docker Swarm or Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.
- Knowledge of OWASP and secure development practices is desirable.
