Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the hardware abstraction layer (HAL) for switch ASIC SDK integration.
- Implement, debug, and optimize L2/L3 protocol state machines as kernel modules.
- Contribute to multi-unit stacking features including topology management and firmware upgrades.
- Develop and maintain firmware across ARM64 and MIPS architectures.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and define coding standards for the team.
- Collaborate with engineering teams across time zones and mentor junior engineers.
- Maintain and improve the cross-compilation build system and support release engineering processes.
- Leverage AI coding agents for code generation, debugging, and rapid prototyping.
Requirements
- B.Tech/B.E or M.Tech/M.E in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of professional experience in embedded software development, with 3 years in networking.
- Strong proficiency in C programming for embedded Linux systems.
- Hands-on experience with L2/L3 networking protocols.
- Experience developing or maintaining Linux kernel modules.
- Familiarity with ARM64 or MIPS cross-compilation toolchains.
- Strong debugging skills using tools like GDB and tcpdump.
- Demonstrated use of AI coding agents in development workflows.
