Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and own scalable, performant, maintainable AI-powered software components.
  • Deliver solutions from design and execution through deployment and operational support.
  • Write production code and unit and integration tests while optimizing and refactoring existing systems.
  • Guide technology choices and drive adoption of engineering best practices.
  • Perform design and code reviews and contribute to technical roadmap discussions.
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to team members.
  • Participate in on-call activities, including performance enhancements, bug fixes, and error correction.
  • Collaborate with product managers, senior leadership, stakeholders, and AWS service developers to improve customer-facing technical documentation experiences.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • At least 3 years of programming experience with one or more software programming languages.
  • Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Preferred: experience with machine learning and large language model fundamentals, including model architecture, training and inference lifecycles, and optimization of model execution.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, manage competing priorities, solve ambiguous problems, and mentor junior engineers.
